Typically what we see is 18-wheelers coming into our towns, getting into accidents with people, mostly on I-10 or I-49 or 90. When that happens, the person who’s driving the 18-wheeler is from another state. What we typically do is we can file suit in federal court against them or sometimes if they have other ties and work for a company in Louisiana, then we can sue them in Louisiana. Just because someone’s from out of state, doesn’t mean that you lose your rights.
