LAFAYETTE, La. – A shocking crash on Friday, Feb. 23rd ignited a vehicle in a Lafayette neighborhood, sending the driver fleeing on foot.

Dramatic surveillance footage from Pandora Street reveals the car violently striking a utility pole before erupting in flames. The impact was so severe that the vehicle split in two, with one half careening into a nearby home. Miraculously, no residents were injured.

The Lafayette Police Department is actively searching for the driver, who abandoned the scene.

Local residents expressed concern over ongoing speeding issues on Pandora Street, where the speed limit is 35 miles per hour. An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
